Inventor Douglas Hines with Roxxxy, his computerized sex robot that can carry on a conversation and have a simulated orgasm.

I'm not sure what's creepier, the photograph itself or the fact 4,000 men have placed pre-orders and another 20,000 have requested information about Roxxxy robots. On second thought, and call me a Luddite if you want, but the whole men having sex with a robot thing is definitely creepier.

Not sure if it’s in the CNN article, but to make things even creepier I believe the inventor is a 9/11 widower.. discussed here: http://uhhyeahdude.com/

  2. scott starrett says:

they clarify that it is a ‘simulated’ orgasm. sorry Harold, if you ever want to see robots diffusing bombs and cleaning up chemical spills men will have to have sex with them first.

  3. Harold Johns III says:

I don’t understand your first sentence due to the syntax so you will need to clarify what you meant for me.

Inventing mechanisms to deal with problems of our own creation doesn’t address the root cause and only serves to further remove humans from experiencing the sometimes terrible ramifications of decisions made in haste.
