• Grammy’s Get It Right For Once Nominate “I’m On A Boat”

We all the know the Grammy’s (and every other award show for that matter) are a boring attempt by media conglomerates to re-promote their collective work and celebrate the highest selling artists who already suffer from overexposure. Which is to say, the Grammy’s basically suck. How else could one explain Best New Artist winners like Milli Vanilli in 1990, A Taste of Honey (who?) over Elvis Costello in 1979, or Maroon 5′s victory over a humbler Kanye West back in 2005?

But this year the Grammy’s got one right. It was announced yesterday that Lonely Planet’s song with T-Pain “I’m On a Boat” is nominated for a Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award. If it were up to us, we’d also like to see this one nominated for Song of the Year (seriously it’s better then Lady Gag-Gag).
