Love Garden Sounds (the new location at 822 Massachusetts in Lawrence, KS) presents Take Two And Call Me In The Morning, new works on paper by Kenneth Kupfer, Clint Ricketts and b. d. eek. The opening for the show, curated by Alicia Kelly, is this Saturday, November 21 from 6-9pm and features music provided by DJ Wake. This is the first art show in the new Love Garden space so if you haven’t had a chance to check it out here’s the perfect night to do so.
For more information about Take Two And Call Me In The Morning check out Jason Barr’s ADD podcast with Ricketts, Kupfer and Kelly where they discuss, among other things: cops, drug use, Walt Disney’s Masonic rank, mushroom cults, hidden messages in cartoons and occasionally art – b. d. eek was not interviewed but was definitely discussed. I am just happy Barr took our advice and included the Tina Turner jam “We Don’t Need Another Hero” from the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack. Listen here
