The Contest Liberty Hall (644 Massachusetts in Lawrence, KS) is seeking new designs from the community at large. We’ve got two screens to make swell t-shirts from, and we want your help. So, we’re having a contest. The winners will be immortalized through clothing (and perhaps more).

1st Prize: One-year subscription to The Uranium Option. That’s free movies for a year! Late-Fee Amnesty (according to our usual dictates) Liberty Hall sweatshirt Liberty Hall t-shirt (presumably with your design) Liberty Hall frisbee

2nd Prize: One-month subscription to The Uranium Option Late-Fee Amnesty (according to our usual dictates) DVD of Terrence Malick’s Days of Heaven Liberty Hall sweatshirt Liberty Hall t-shirt (again, presumably with your design) Liberty Hall frisbee

Design Restrictions: It must be no larger than 9 inches wide by 12 inches high. Black & white is the order, as these will be simple one-color shirts. Your design may be dropped off at the box-office, or you may attach a pdf to an email. Send it to dougr@libertyhall.net. Have the subject line read: NEW DESIGN. All entries are due by 6:00 PM on Monday, October 5th, 2009. Winners will be announced on Friday, October 9th, by 7:00 PM.

The Party It’s around Halloween that the best parties occur. Let’s have one.

There will be a t-shirt party at the Wonder Fair Art Gallery (803 Massachusetts). Bring your article of clothing (preferably a t-shirt, maybe a tote bag) and get a new, limited edition Liberty Hall design screened on it for just $5.00. This is happening on October 17th, 2009. It starts at 6 PM. That’s on a Saturday.

We should probably have some other stuff going on, too. Maybe a costume contest? Suggestions and comments are welcome!

The Contest
