48film

From the organizers: The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which teams make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. Each team is assigned a genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue that they must work into their film. They are responsible for putting together a cast and crew, and getting equipment and anything else necessary to make a film/video in just a weekend. Any team, regardless of skill level, is eligible to participate in this competition. Filmmaking teams of all levels will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, July 31st and deliver a finished 4 to 7 minute film by 7:30pm on Sunday, August 2nd. The completed films will then premiere at the Screenland Theater (1656 Washington KCMO) on Friday August 7th at 7:30pm and again on Sunday, August 9th at 9:45pm.
