After several changes in membership, Baby Birds Don’t Drink Milk are back with a new record entitled “Eek Shriek Beak.” The handmade CD-R features 8 new tracks and is only available through BBDDM’s myspace page. The trio’s schizophrenic sound jumps from outbursts of improvised noise built from haunting samples to well structured indie pop complete with harmonies. At times “Eek Shriek Beak” can be a challenging record but fans of Panda Bear and Brandon Cox will find it a satisfying release. Standout tracks include “Our Girls” and “Eating With Horses.” You can catch Baby Birds Don’t Drink Milk on their West Coast tour beginning November 29th.
