If you ever need a little inspiration, understanding, or you’ve just been wondering what the most creative and intelligent people in the world have been up to lately, check out the TED website for their seemingly endless archives of brilliant speeches. Most of the “TED talks” run about 25 min, but the audio is usually just as important as the video (if you have something else you need to be doing simultaneously, like…working?) There’s plenty to learn. Here are just a few of the talks you’ll find on the TED website:
Why are we happy?
Apes that write

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) tags itself as “ideas worth spreading.” TED is a conference held annually to promote understanding of the issues that effect the world today, and the ideas that can make a difference. TED was founded by Richard Saul Wurman and Harry Marks in 1984, and the conference is now run by Chris Anderson, owner of The Sapling Foundation. You probably won’t get the invite to TED, and you might not be able to afford the $6,000 membership fee if you did, but you can soak up all the free knowledge you want at TED.
